Richard E. Horn

Richard E. Horn passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010, at Providence Hospital. Rich was born on May 22, 1944, in Bronx, N.Y., the youngest of three children. He attended the New York School of Art and Design, before joining the Navy at 18 years of age.

Rich served four years aboard the U.S.S. Hancock, and was discharged in sunny California. He worked for Pan American Airlines until moving to Oregon in 1974. He established Big Time Trucking, and transported the U.S. mail until his retirement in 2008.

Rich is survived by his sister, Barbara Sanato, of Florida; and two sons, Alexander and Andrew Horn, of Medford, Ore.

Rich was a member of the Medford Eagles, and enjoyed restoring cars or anything else with an engine and wheels.

An open gathering is planned at his residence, 1801 Arlington Drive, Medford, on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. A time of prayer, remembering and sharing will begin at 1:00 p.m. A memorial plaque will be placed at the Eagle Point National Cemetery in the near future.
