Remos "Don" Williams, of Medford, Ore., was born June 10, 1924, to R.C. and Ione Williams, in Alamo, Tenn., and passed away peacefully at his home after a short illness, February 19, 2011.
Don served in the Army during World War II. After the war, Don opened and operated two hair salons in New York City. He later moved to California and worked as a culinary supervisor with the Department of Corrections.
Don spent his retirement fishing and traveling in his RV. Don loved and collected classic cars and was an active member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, in Medford, Lodge 1083.
Don is survived by his wife, Jorene; two daughters, Anita Sable and Marsha Carl; and numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge 1083.
