Raymond Wulff, age 82, of Rogue River, Ore., died peacefully, Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at the home of his son, Phil and daughter-in-law, GayEllen, who lovingly cared for him. A memorial service will be held at the VA Cemetery Chapel in Eagle Point, Ore., on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
Raymond was born to Frederick and Lillian Wulff, on July 20, 1926, in Chicago, Ill. He served in the Navy during WWII on board the USS C.R. Greer (DE 23). He met his wife of 59 years, Ellen Reiter, in Gull Lake, Mich. They were married on April 23, 1948, in Pasadena, Calif. Their children were raised in the towns of Duarte and Costa Mesa, Calif., where Ray worked as a Mechanical Engineer Technician.
Ray and Ellen moved from Costa Mesa to Medford in June 2001, and to Rogue River in November 2005. His hobbies included fishing, and photography.
He is survived by his sons, Gregory Wulff, San Jose, Calif., Douglas Wulff (Myrna), Medford, Ore., and Philip Wulff (GayEllen), Rogue River, Ore; daughter, Nancy (Peter) Orcino, San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Crystal, Mike, Karl, Jon, Candiss, Emily, Daniel, Devon, Cecelia, Sophia, Gabriela, Carmela, and Vincente; and great-grandchildren, Seth and Anika. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen; infant daughter, Karen Sue; and brothers, Chet and Giff.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Litwiller-Simonson Funeral Home, Ashland.
