Raymond (Ray) Henry Wilkerson, of Central Point, Oregon passed away July 10, 2018 after a long battle with Glioblastoma, with his wife, Kathy Wilkerson and best friend, Beaux Davis by his side. He was born December 31, 1969 in Martinez, California to Charles and Jeanne Wilkerson.
Ray grew up in San Jose and Gilroy, Calif. He graduated in 1988 from Gilroy High School. He married Kathy May 19, 2001 in Newark, Calif. and shortly after that they moved to Central Point, Ore. He loved music, played guitar, and he loved to jam. He also loved entertaining with his barbecue and his amazing homemade barbecue sauce. For many years Ray managed a Bay Area music group “Chant” and loved every minute of it. He worked as store supervisor for Industrial Finishes, Inc. in Medford for 10 years and enjoyed his job as well as his co-workers and customers very much. Anyone who knew Ray adored his sense of humor, he made everyone laugh. People would ask him, “How did you come up with that?”
Ray is missed and loved by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kathy (Lang) Wilkerson; their son, Trevor Wilkerson (10); his mother, Jeanne Wilkerson; his sister, Maryanne Wilkerson; his brother, Ken Wilkerson of Modesto, Calif.; and his in-laws John and Diane Lang. of Grants Pass, Ore. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wilkerson.
