Ray William “Bill” Barger passed on to the Good Lord’s hands April 10, 2018 at his home in Medford, with family and friends at his side.
Bill was born in Keno, Oregon to Perry and Cordelia Barger. The family moved to Ashland, Oregon where he attended Ashland High School and excelled in track, Quill & Scroll, business management, Rod and Gun Club, and the National Rifle Association achievement program, and graduated with honors in 1951.
Bill honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1964 and worked many years logging and working on heavy machinery. Bill was passionate about hunting, fishing, gardening, and the great outdoors, and was a member of the Elks organization for 60 years.
Bill is survived by his sister, Gladys Bass of Rogue River, and brother, Marvin Barger of Richland, Washington. He was loved and will be missed by all of us.
