Phyllis Jean Walker

Phyllis Jean Walker

December 16, 1957 - October 29, 2017

Phyllis was born in Jamestown, New York December 16, 1957. Her family moved to San Diego, California when she was two years old. At the age of 19 she married Dan Walker, with whom she celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in May of this year.

Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife to Dan and a wonderful and supportive mother to Micki, Becky, and Dan Jr. She was also a fun-loving, devoted, and caring grandma to her four grandchildren, Brandon, Julia, Aidyn, and Kaytlin. She is also survived by her sister, Patty; her brothers Bobby and Ronnie; and her many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis fought a brave battle against stage 4 breast cancer but unfortunately her cancer was very aggressive and spread rapidly throughout her body. Finally, on October 29, 2017 Phyllis took her last breath with her beloved family at her side and was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Phyllis worked for over 22 years in Medford as a merchant teller and teller for First Interstate Bank, Bank of America, and Bank of the Cascades. She was respected and well-liked by both co-workers and clients.

Phyllis was loving, kind, and caring - we will all miss her dearly.

A memorial service for Phyllis will take place Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Mountain Church (1 East Main St - the old Wells Fargo Bank building at the corner of Front and Main St.)
