July 18, 1933 - July 7, 2018
Patricia Mae Beck, 84, of Central Point, Oregon “graduated” from this life July 7, 2018. She was born July 18, 1933 in Medford, Ore. to “Mack” and “Billie” Lemmon.
Pat lived in the Rogue Valley for most of her life. She attended first through twelfth grade, graduating from Medford High School in 1951. In high school she was Student Body Treasurer, President of FHA, a member of the Girl's League, and was a Tigerette. Pat was also a member of the drill team for the Jackson County Ladies Mounted Troop.
Pat worked many years for “Ma Bell” as a telephone operator. She owned and operated a printing business in Medford and rentals in Central Point, Ore. She served on the Central Point Planning Commission, and was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Pat enjoyed many hobbies and had an innate ability for figuring out how to make things work. It was never “it can’t be done,” it was, “I just haven’t found the way yet.” She was an exceptional baker, treating friends and family to fresh sticky buns and Parker House rolls on holidays. She loved her family, friends, and community and felt very blessed by those relationships.
On July 18, 1980, she married Ira Alan “Al” Beck who preceded her in death. Pat is survived by her children, Dawn (Art) Lee, Brad (Cheryl) Martin, Ken Pellett, and Lynn (John) Dufur; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; her sister, Jonnie Stevens; and her brother, Mack Lemmon.
Services will be held Friday, July 20, 2018, at noon at Conger-Morris, Central Point Chapel, 800 South Front Street, Central Point, Ore.
