McVay Hansen

Norma was born to Loris and Alice McVay August 6, 1933, in Bend, Ore. She passed peacefully of natural causes in her sleep May 17, 2012, in Roseburg, Ore. Norma married Dwight N. Glenn on January 2, 1949, with three daughters from that union. She married the love of her life, Howard Hansen, on March 14, 1968.

Norma was a telephone operator for Pacific Northwest Bell in Medford for many years before moving to Lemolo Lake in Douglas County in 1968. She has been a resident of Douglas County since then.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Howard; her parents; her sister, Anita; her grandson, Jesse Beukema; and her son-in-law, Rick Hines. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Hines, Diane Beukema (Russ), and Shirley Brink (Bill); her step-sons, Jary (Sandy) Hansen and Mant Hansen; step-daughter, Theresa Weber; her sisters, Georgia Pemberton (Jim) and Carol Hymer; her brother, Hubert Paisley (Judy); ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five nephews; and one niece.

A celebration of Norma's life will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses in Roseburg. Please visit www.
