Norma June Lemley

One of eight children, Norma was born January 12, 1923, in Devon, Kans., to parents, Norman and Maudie Caray.

She worked in the hospital care and service industry for a span of more than 55 years, providing others with their dietary nutritional needs. Beginning with Sacred Heart Hospital of Medford, Ore., next for the Veteran's Administration, of White City, Ore., and eventually retired from Rogue Valley Medical Center, of Medford, Ore.

Her many hobbies included cards and crossword puzzles, and cooking, and sewing. She liked traveling, very much enjoyed reading, and belonged to a weekly pinochle club in Ashland.

Norma was a beautiful, vibrant lady with a feisty spirit, who also had a great sense of humor. She was much loved by her large family as well as the many friends that she made during her 60 years in the Rogue Valley, that she called home. She will be greatly missed, fondly remembered, and will always be with us in our hearts.

She is survived by sister, Wanda Pyzer, of Cameron, Mo.; four loving children, Marlene (Vern) Baty, Don (Jeanette) Miller, Mike (Sandy) Miller, and Melissa (Ed) Dunlap, all residing in the Rogue Valley; as well as five grandchildren; and six-great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held for the family.
