Mary Constance Connie Campbell

Connie Campbell passed away at her home on July 21, 2009 with her husband by her side. Connie was born on May 11, 1928 in Haver Hill, Mass. She is survived by her husband, John Campbell, Sr.; three sons, John Jr., James and Jesse (Tawnya); her nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many adopted grandchildren; and her cat, Puddy.

Connie and John were married April 26, 1947 in Plastow, N.H. Connie and John had a special relationship. They had a long and loving romance that lasted for 62 years. As she was nearing the end of her life, John would sing to her at her bedside, just as he did in the car early in their marriage invoking that irresistible smile of hers. John and Connie owned and operated Campbell Childs Prosthetics. After retiring, they went on several trips to Florida, Scotland, and Hawaii. She had a special place she loved in Crescent City and made dear friends wherever she went.

Connie loved to throw parties and always opened her home to everyone, no one went hungry at her house and they were always sent home with a meal to go.

Connie had a heart of gold and will be truly missed by everyone.

The family would like to thank Vicki and the entire Asante Hospice team, her dear friend, Toni and all of Connie's caregivers.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 28th at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 426 West 6th St., Medford at 1:00 p.m.
