Peggy C. Lynch passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Rogue Valley Medical Center, following a long
illness. She was born February 6, 1932, in Oakland, Fla.
Peggy and her twin sister went to school in Tavares, Fla., where they started on the basketball team that won the state championship their senior year.
Peggy received her nursing degree at the Presbyterian Hospital, in Charlotte, N.C. She started her career in nursing at Jackson Memorial Hospital, in Miami, Fla., where she met her first husband, Charles Cochrane. They had two sons, Andy and David. Charles was a pilot and lost his life fighting fires in Arizona.
Peggy moved her family to Medford, Ore., in 1967, where she practiced nursing at Rogue Valley Medical Center and the Orthopedic Fracture Clinic. Peggy married Dr. Andrew Lynch on December 9, 1988.
Peggy was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing golf, especially at the Rogue Valley Country Club.
Survivors include her son, Andrew (Rhonda) Cohcrane; three sisters, Louise Coven, of Arkansas, Lib Wilson, of Florida, and twin sister Dorothy (Jim) Quincy, of Medford, Ore.; and grandchildren, Jessie (Matt) Lake, of Talent, Ore., Wil
Cochrane, of Phoenix, Ore., and Molly Cochrane, of Talent, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles
Cochrane, and Dr. Andrew Lynch; and son, David
