Lucille Johnson, 91, of Medford, Oregon, passed away May 30, 2018 at Avamere Health Services in Medford.
She was born February 26, 1927 in Medford, the daughter of Carl and Margery Pearson.
Lucille attended Medford schools and graduated from Medford High School in 1945, home of the Medford Tigers. She worked at the Holly Theater, Craterian Theater, and Harry & David.
On October 23, 1948, Lucille married Arthur Ray Johnson. They lived their entire married life together in the Rogue Valley.
Lucille was an active member of the Royal Neighbors of America and a past president of the Ashland Elkettes of Ashland Lodge #944. Her hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, backpacking, mushroom hunting, ceramics, and having lunch with close friends and her sister, Beverly Hugdahl.
She is survived by her sister, Beverly Hugdahl of Salem, Ore.; son, Scott (Joanne) Johnson; daughter, Anita Johnson (Tammy) of Medford; grandson, Karl (Samantha) Johnson of Medford; and several nieces, great-nieces, great-great-nieces, nephews, great- nephews, and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art; her parents; and four sisters.
There will be a private interment at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
