LeRoy McGrew, 77, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011, at his home. LeRoy was born to Troy McGrew and Murtie Helms, on November 1, 1934, in Muskogee, Okla.
LeRoy served four years in the United States Air Force and was wed to Sarah (Sally) White on November 28, 1953, in Palisade, Colo. LeRoy had many careers in his lifetime, but is most known for being a pioneer in the technology industry, a small business owner, commercial fisherman and part owner of Quality Insulation in Central Point, Ore. He enjoyed wood working and being outdoors. He loved his country and his family without reservation.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; daughters, Kerry Lee (Pete) Droesch, Michelle Jane (Mike) Mulloy; grandchildren, Robert Mulloy, Shannon (Ian) Jarvis, Benjamin (Aspen) Droesch, Sara (Walker) Varozza, Brian (Megan) Droesch, Jesse (Jodi) Droesch, Felix Droesch; and great-grandchildren, Asher, Audrey, Molly, Alyssa, Madeline and Samuel.
Funeral services will be held on Friday December 30, 2011, at the Medford Friends Church at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will be at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
