Leonard R. Vaughn, 82, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011, at home. He was born May 3, 1929, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Ray and Millie Vaughn. On April 28, 1979, he married Pat Archer, in Medford, Ore.
Leonard served in the army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany. In his early years he worked in the timber industry. Later, he was self-employed as an awnings salesman.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf.
Surivors include his wife, Pat; brother, Jerry Brewer, of Texas; children, Brent (Julia) Archer, of R.I.; and Kim (Steven) Tucker, of Central Point, Ore.; and four grandchildren. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Pat Brewer.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Officiating will be Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice. Memorial donations may be made to Providence Hospice.
