Lee Russell Wood

April 15, 1941 -

January 25, 2008

Lee Russell Wood died January 25, 2008, at his home in Medford. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, and his four children and their families, Gary Wood, of Gresham, Patricia Emmens, of Medford, Julie Mullineaux, of Medford, Lee Wood Jr., of Medford, and half brother, David Wood and family, of Concord, Calif.

Lee was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was raised in California. Later Lee moved his family to the Rogue Valley where he and Barbara opened the Chain Mill Jewelry store in Medford.

After many years in the jewelry business, poor health sent Lee into early retirement. Lee continued to pursue his many hobbies and interests with great enthusiasm. These included jewelry crafting, painting, sketching, family BBQ's, yard selling, landscaping, and poker with the guys. Lee was also an expert fishing rod and reel repairman, and a proud member of the Eagles.

Lee had the highest respect for our country's service men and women, and he was especially proud of his grandson's current service in the Army.

He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Buddy very much. His memory will live on forever in their hearts and will be their inspiration to carry on his love for others and his country until we all meet again.

Rest in peace.

The Wood family extend's their warmest thanks to Dr. Brian Gross and staff, and Dr. Patrick Yeakey and staff for their care and kindness.

Services will be on Friday, February 1, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Conger Morris Chapel in Medford.
