Laura Mosar, loving wife and mother, died at her home in Sisters, Ore., July 12, 2008. She was born Laura Mitchell in Minneapolis, Minn., on Aug. 17, 1953. Laura graduated from St. Mary's Nursing School in Minneapolis and spent over 30 years as a registered nurse in Oregon. Laura resided in Medford, Ore., for 20 years before moving to Sisters in 2001. On Aug. 24, 2002, she was united in marriage to Allan Mosar, in South Lake Tahoe, Nev., Laura had numerous passions including her children, quilting, golfing, and animals. She was an active member of PEO and Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Sisters. Laura was also an accomplished athlete, excelling in platform diving and tennis. She will be forever remembered for her loving and generous heart and deeply missed by the many people whose lives she touched.

Survivors include: husband, Allan, of Sisters, Ore.; mother, Miriam Mitchell, of Minneapolis, Mn.; daughter, Amy Hildebrandt, of Seattle, Wash.; son Daniel Hildebrandt (and wife Alison) of Ashland, Ore.; brothers, Norman Mitchell of Eufaula, Ala., and Jim Mitchell of Edina, Minn.; sister Karen Nelson of Walnut Creek, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father Norman Mitchell.

A memorial service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Sisters.

Donations may be sent in honor of Laura to the Humane Society of Central Oregon in Bend or Redmond.
