Kim Graffis-Gordon

Kim Graffis-Gordon passed away June 25, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Given a two-week prognosis in January, she fought with sheer determination to see the birth of her son's first child.

Born in 1961, Kim grew up in Wenatchee, Wash., where she earned a degree in medical administration. In 1986, after the death of her first child, Kim moved to Medford, Ore. with her two young children and began working at Providence Hospital, where she met and later married Greg Gordon. She also worked at both Rogue Valley and Ashland Hospitals and attended SOSC, studying Philosophy.

With gardening her passion, she and Greg ran a landscaping business in Red Lodge, Mont., while raising their children. Returning to the Valley, Kim found a home at Carol's Colors, where she worked with her son. She extended her passion by embracing a healthy lifestyle and growing her own food and creating her own skin care lotions and healing salves.

Kim was calm, accepting, grounded, and had a common sense approach to life. Unique and always true to herself, she was loved and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Gordon; children, Jamie, Ben (Allison), Cassie, Mike, and Hannah; siblings, Tammy, Debbie, Kenny, Tricia, Kara, and Rob; mother, Linda (Gary) Hawk; grand-daughter, Jenna. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Scott; and daughter, Jennifer.
