Kendall J. May

Rebecca Joan Hawkins May

On Sunday, July 14, 2013, Kendall J. May and Rebecca "Becci" Joan Hawkins May died as they had lived, together.

Kendall was born June 30, 1964. He grew up in a noisy, loving household in Spanish Fork, Utah and was very close to his eight siblings. He was known for being handsome, fun, and accepting of everyone. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1982, then served an LDS mission in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Becci and her twin sister, Bobbi, were born February 19, 1967 in Billings, Mont. and were immediately adopted by Del and Donna Hawkins. Both girls became cherished additions to the Hawkins family. Becci grew up in Billings and is described by family and friends as loving, fun, and "Sunshine." She graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1985 and then attended Ricks College in Idaho where she obtained her associate's degree.

Kendall and Becci met while they were both attending Utah Valley State College, and their adventure together began. They were married June 28, 1989 in Manti, Utah.

During the early years of their marriage they were blessed with three daughters, and Becci supported Kendall as he obtained a degree in occupational therapy from Colorado State University. Throughout their 24 years of marriage they lived in Utah, Colorado, Montana, and Iowa. At the time of their deaths they resided in Eagle Point, Ore. where Kendall worked as an occupational therapist, and Becci worked as a patient service representative at a nearby healthcare company.

Wherever they lived, Becci's loyalty and unselfishness, and Kendall's humility and gentle soul combined with their zany sense of humor and fun-loving nature easily drew people into their circle of friends. They also devoted countless hours to serving in their church and quietly touched and influenced many lives for good.

If asked what their greatest achievement in life was, both Kendall and Becci would enthusiastically agree it was raising their three beautiful and amazing daughters Ryanne, Melissa, and Sydney. They were devoted parents and loved nothing more than spending time with their girls and helping them achieve their dreams.

They are survived by their three daughters Ryanne May, Melissa May, and Sydney May, of Eagle Point, Ore.

Becci is survived by her mother, Donna Hawkins, of Billings, Mont.; sisters, Allene (Mickey) Pellinen, of Billings and Bobbi (Dave) Hoffman, of Johnstown, Colo.; and brother, Steve (Deanie) Hawkins, of Billings.

Kendall is survived by his mother, Della May, of Spanish Fork, Utah; brothers, Jim (Charleen) May, of Provo, Utah; Doug (Lori) May, of Payson, Utah, Duane (Trish) May, of Logandale, Nev., Scott (Jewel) May, of Brigham City, Utah, and Gary (Kathy) May, of Ames, Iowa; and sisters, Susan (Steve) Ewing, of Mona, Utah, Colleen (Ray) Lyman, of Delta, Utah, and Julie (Phil) Wright, of West Jordan, Utah.

They were both preceded in death by their fathers, Del Hawkins and Kenneth May.
