Keith A. Bristlin, 84, of Medford, Ore., passed away Friday, September 17, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 26, 1926, to Albert and Marjorie Bristlin, in Klamath Falls, Ore. Keith graduated from Rogue River Academy in 1944. He attended Walla Walla College and served his country during WWII and was with the first occupation troops into Japan. On June 6, 1947, he married Nelda Jean Mitchell.
Keith worked in the timber industry for many years. Upon his retirement, he volunteered as a van driver at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Keith enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was an active member of the Medford Seventh-day Adventist Church. Most of all, Keith was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jere Sanderfur and Dr. Charles Dibb, and their staff for their care and compassion during his illness. They would also like to thank Asante Hospice, especially Tom, Jane, B.J., Joanna and Janet for their support.
Keith is survived by his wife, Nelda Bristlin, of Medford, Ore.; son, Gordon Bristlin, of Central Point, Ore.; daughter and son-inlaw, Karen and Robert Bigelow, of Medford, Ore.; brother, Kenneth Bristlin, of Escondido, Calif.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 3:30 p.m., at the Medford Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1900 Greenwood, Medford. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Project Patch, 2404 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Suite A, Vancouver, WA, 98661,
