Kathleen A Robinson

Kathy passed away suddenly in her sleep on September 15, 2011, at her home in Shady Cove, Ore.

Kathy was born in Oakland, Calif., in 1947 to William and Dorothy Lamb. She was married to her beloved second husband Jim Robinson, who preceded her in death in 2006.

Kathy spent much of her life living in California, from Redding, Los Angeles and the Bay Area. She moved to southern Oregon in 1992 to be close to her parents. She was a loving wife, mother, caring friend and co-worker. Kathy worked in several fields during her life, the most prevalent being customer service. From owning and running a medical answering service, to helping people in the healthcare field at Regence. She loved traveling and as she often said was blessed to be able to see much of this world, often in search of family history from Britain, Ireland and Europe. When not traveling, she was an avid reader and collector of books as well as working in her garden.

She is survived by her son, Scott Simms, of Salem, Ore.; stepdaughter, Diana (Ed) Laramee, of Vancouver, Wash.; stepson, Doug (Kathy), of Tigard, Ore.; stepson, Mike (Cindy), of Gold Hill, Ore.; cousin, Sally Holmes, of Livermore, Calif.; and aunt Vivian Harper, of Hayward, Calif.

A memorial service for Kathleen (Kathy) A Robinson will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at Perl Funeral Home, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd. Medford, OR (541-772-5488). All friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at this time.

She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would be honored if all who were associated with Kathy sign the memorial book or online guestbook at this time. There will be a reception following the service for all who like to attend. Directions available at the service.

We come from the Earth, we return to the Earth and in between we garden.
