June Marie Sellers of Eagle Point, Ore., born March 13, 1932, to Herman Alden and Jaunita Faye Harrington, in Commerce, Okla., passed away on July 21, 2011, in Medford, Ore.
June travelled extensively before meeting and marrying her husband, John Sellers, in Eugene, Ore., in 1953. She raised four children with her husband in the Upper Rogue area. They settled on a large piece of land, and together watched their children grow into adulthood, providing her with ten grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.
She was passionate about her animals: dogs, cats, horses, cattle, and sheep. In her spare time she created quilts and other handicrafts treasured by her friends and family. She was fierce and someone you wanted at your side in a battle. June will be remembered for her intelligence, wit, charm, and beautiful voice.
Her husband of 56 years preceded her in death on May 15, 2009. She is survived by her four children, Crystal Nackerud, and spouse, Bruce, of Eagle Point, Ore.; Carol Chamberlin, and spouse, Allen, of Copeville, Texas; John Sellers, Jr., of Tracy, Calif.; and Bret Sellers, and spouse, Diane, of Edmonds, Wash.; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2011, 10:00 a.m., at Conger-Morris Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Conger-Morris, 541-772-7111.
