Judy (Zarosinski) Mehlmauer

April 3, 1954 - May 25, 2018

My beautiful sister, Judy, 64, passed into Heaven May 25, 2018 surrounded by family after a two-month bout with cancer. She was born Judith Mary Zarosinski to Ray and Millie (Motschenbacher) Zarosinski in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Her childhood was spent in Klamath Falls where she attended grade school through high school. She attended and graduated from, what was then OIT with an Associate degree in Dental Hygiene. Her hygiene career spanned over 40 years in the same office with three ownership changes. She had the privilege of working for Dr. Eugene Cossette, Dr. Anne Barry, and Drs. Nicole Keck and Ian Erickson.

Along with her employers and the many staff with whom she worked, her great love was the many people for whom she provided care. Judy truly loved people and everyone who knew her experienced it. Many times Judy would put on her "counselor hat" and share her blessed wisdom with any willing ear.

In 1979 Judy married Larry Mehlmauer. In their 29 years together, they enjoyed traveling several times to Mexico, Hawaii, and the Oregon coast.

As well as love, Jude lived a life of honesty, integrity, and an excellent work ethic. She was a gift. Her passions in life included her love for God and His Word by which she patterned her life. She loved gardening and getting her hands in the dirt. Her backyard English garden always presented a surprise each spring with something new the birds had dropped. She learned many lessons from the Lord through gardening; those of life, death, growth, pruning, and new growth. There was always change with beauty to enjoy.

Her third passion was cooking and having the family over for meals. Everyone's mouths watered over "Jude's rolls." Everything she made was delicious although there was always something, to her, just a little off and how she would improve it. Not true. Judy was such a giver in life to anyone she felt was in need. As her sister, I was the greatest recipient of her love, wisdom, counsel from God's Word, and her ability to stay the course.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; her brother, Dr. Doug Zarosinski (Gail); her sister, Tz Fargason (John); her nephews and their families, Mike Zarosinski (Amy, Morgan), John Fargason (Lesley, Olivia, Clare), Benji Fargason (Heather, Caleb), Devon Malone (Katy Guetschow), Jerome Zarosinski (mother, Shelley); several aunts; her Uncle Don; many cousins; Larry's family; her longtime friend, Susan Quitt; and too many others to mention.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Donnie and Joe Zarosinski.

A special thanks to the kind doctors and nurses at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, third floor West, Oncology and to Asante Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hearts With a Mission or Redemption Ridge, Medford, OR.
