Judy Marie Bjorlie

June 7, 1943 - May 22, 2018

Judy passed away May 22, 2018, from a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was born June 7, 1943 in Kalispell, Montana, to Marie and Oscar Bjorlie.

Judy moved to Ashland when she was quite young and went all the way through Ashland Schools. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, Indiana University, and also Ohio University.

She taught music in Bend and in Iowa, returning to Oregon to teach in Medford. Judy taught string music in elementary, junior high, and senior high in Medford schools.

Judy was a cellist in Rogue Valley Symphony and Britt Classical Festival. She was a water color artist and a member of Art and Soul Gallery in Ashland.

Our Judy was a gentle, kind person, who had many wonderful caring friends, made beautiful music, and loved to paint with water colors.

We, the family, take comfort in knowing Judy is no longer suffering and that she is in heaven with her parents Marie and Oscar Bjorlie.

Judy is survived by her sister, Jean Morgan (Michael): nephew, Chris Morgan ( Lorie); niece, Gail Kauffman (Zac); niece, Julia Osterhaus (Eron); four grandnephews: Austin Morgan, Alec Kauffman, Bryce Kauffman, and Sawyer Osterhaus; two grandnieces, Riley Dunavent (Tom) and Lauren Morgan.

On Saturday, June 2, 2018, you are all invited to a Celebration of Judy's Life from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 675 Black Oak Drive, Medford, Oregon 97504.
