The funeral service for Jerry will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the LDS Church on Bellinger Lane, Medford, with Brother Dave Beck officiating. Visitation will precede the services from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Jerry, 63, of Medford, died Thursday, July 26th at his home. He was born in Nampa, Idaho to Leota and Charles. On June 14, 1968, he married Brenda Judd in Roseburg, Ore.

After graduating from high school Jerry joined the Army and served as a heavy equipment mechanic. He worked for Boise Cascade for over 10 years and then started "Jerry Carruthers Better Lighting" which he owned for 20 years. For the last ten years Jerry worked as a general maintenance man for several Rogue Valley businesses. He was a member of the LDS church for 35 years and served in several positions. Jerry enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, knitting, BBQing, making chili and Christmas candy.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Jami of Medford; son, Todd and wife, Kim; and four granddaughters of Boise, Idaho, Kris and Sean Winter and two granddaughters of Central Point; stepfather, Charles Leder of Lewiston, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leota Leder; father, Charles; and half-brother, Keith Shipp.
