Houston H. Wolf

Houston H. Wolf, passed away peacefully Monday, May 18, 2009, after a short illness, at Providence Hospital. He was born to Lewis and "Macky" Wolf on April 27, 1920 in DeQueen, Ark. On Aug. 21, 1937 in DeQueen he married the love of his life, Edna Lucille Johnston and would have celebrated 72 years of wedded bliss this August.

In 1941 they moved to Klamath Falls, Ore., where Houston worked falling timber. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in 1942, where he served as communications sergeant during WWII and was Honorably discharged in 1946. He continued to work in logging and operating a service station in Klamath Falls, but then moved to Winston, Ore. and worked as a mechanic for Down River Products from 1952-1965. He was transferred to the White City Down River Products in 1965 and worked until retiring in 1983.

Survivors include his wife, Edna; daughter, Lynn Nave-Rose (Jess); son, Timothy Wolf (Jodi); grandsons, Richard Nave (Jackie) and Terry Nave (JoAnne); granddaughter, Nicki Wolf, of New York; stepgrandsons, Phil Moore (Tiffany), Michael Moore (Joie), and Paul Moore; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Rikki, Brandon, Amber, Arianna and Adrianna; sisters, Ethel Waldon, Bernice (Page) Dolph, of DeQueen, Ark. and Katherine (A.G.) Gentry, of Wicks, Ark.; sister-in-law, Alte Wolf, of Hawkins, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and "Macky"; his brother, Preston Wolf; and son-in-law, Richard Nave.

Services will be held at Perl Funeral Home, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd, Medford, OR. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., viewing for friends and relatives will be Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Perl Funeral Home between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Pastor Dean Blackwell, of the Church of Christ will be officiating.
