Hilma Dolores MacInnis

Dolores passed away Friday, October 15, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was born July 23, 1924, in Berkeley, Calif., to Alfred and Hilma Koistinen. She married Mac Percy Brent MacInnis on August 30, 1942. They raised five children together. Dolores worked as a school cook for many years. She then became a CNA working in assisted living and home health care. She moved to Oregon in May 1984, to help with the care of her twin grandsons. Dolores was always caring for others right up to the end.

Dolores is survived by her brother , Paul Koistinen, of Calif.; daughters, Linda Stroup and Sonia MacInnis, both of Eagle Point, Ore., and Julie Von Arx, of Calif.; grandchildren, Allan MacInnis, Jr., Christina DeCosta, Cindy Moses, Roger Stroup, Bobby Stroup, Eric MacInnis and Richard and Dean MacInnis; and several great-grandchildren. She was greeted in heaven by her three children, Sharon, Carolyn and Allan; six siblings; and our Dad, Mac.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran, 42 Alta Vista Rd., Eagle Point.
