Henry 'Hank' Clay Henson

Henry C. Henson, 92, passed away June 21, 2011, at his home. He was born in Bryan County, Okla., January 9, 1919, to Dora Hamilton Henson and Walter Abbott Henson.

He served in the United States Army Air Corps as a technical sergeant from December 31, 1941, until September 29, 1945, Airial Engineer 2750, World War II. He participated in all of the invasions, from North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Berlin, and to the end of the war.

He is survived by wife, Florence Eleanor Logsdon Becker Henson; daughters, Helen Andria Henson, Ellen Sandria Henson-Karasinski (Kenneth Karasinski); stepson, William Clarence Becker (Merrilee Hill Becker); sister, Teresa Jane Henson Revel; granddaughters, Kristen Karasinski Santoyo (Alfredo Santoyo), Elizabeth Karasinski Doglio (Keith Doglio); grandsons, Kevin Karasinski (Katie Bos Karasinski), Glen Miguel Henson; granddaughter Mary Ellen Henson; step grandchildren, Brian Becker, Kim Becker Combs, Joy Becker DeGaff (Evert DeGaff); four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ben Henson; sisters, Maggie Henson Gaines and Nellie Henson Martin; and great nephew, Jefferey Condor.

A memorial service is planned for July 23, 2011, at 1:30 p.m., at the Anna Maria Creekside, Medford, Ore. Another memorial service will be held at the Brookings-Harbor Christian Church, Brookings, Ore., at a later date.
