Gary Lee Cronin, 68, of Rogue River, Ore., went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, February 21, 2011. He was born in Canton, Ohio, on February 28, 1942, to Kenneth and Evelyn Cronin. Many here in the valley knew him as "The Buschman." He moved to Oregon in the 1970s, after serving time in the Army, and doing a tour of duty in
Vietnam. Gary then married, but divorced shortly after the birth of his daughter, Crystal.
Gary sure was a ladies man. He could always be counted on for his sense of humor and his love for politics. Often times, Gary would intermingle the two and it would become quite colorful to say the least. He brokered freight here in the Rogue Valley for many years, and anyone who knew Gary, would agree that he was a good man, and one of the hardest working men that they ever knew. An example of that, would be that he raised his daughter on his own, without
assistance from others.
Gary was preceded in death by Kenneth and Evelyn Cronin, Frank and Lina Worthington; and brother, Don Worthington, Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Cronin, of
Philadelphia, Ohio; grandsons, Kaden Lee and Brezden Guy; granddaughters, Taylor Charlene, Jennaca Judith, and Jaelynn Charlee; adopted daughter, Amanda Graham, and graddaughter, Jasmine Maddox; of Medford, Ore.; sisters, Jo Worthington, Cookie Bird (Tom); brothers, Lowell and Frank (Lil) Wothington; and far too many cousins to list.
Gary will be greatly missed by all! We love you Dad!
A memorial service will be held at the Rogue River Church of Christ, at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 26, 2011. Burial and military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., on
Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the Eagle Point National
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to help cover Gary's final expenses to Crystal Kimbrell, 4599 E. Evans Creek Rd., Rogue River, OR 97537.
