Frank Wallace was called home to meet his Lord on March 21, 2008. He was at home with his wife and sons by his side. Frank was 85 years old.
Born to Joseph and Lilly Wallace, Frank came into this world on June 29, 1922, in Corning, Ark.
During WWII, Frank was stationed in the Pacific, where he proudly served with the 96th U.S. Army Division. On January 19, 1946, after returning from duty, he married the former Lillian Herrmann, whom he had met at Camp White.
In 1947, the couple moved to Central Point, where they raised two sons, Ronald and Marlan. Frank worked in the lumber industry as a heavy equipment operator and a truck driver.
Frank was a member of the Cavalry Temple in Central Point. He also proudly served with the Senior Citizens for Christ, and attended services at Three Fountains Nursing Home and at the Medford Gospel Mission, where he enjoyed sharing his love of, and talent for, singing and playing the guitar. Frank also belonged to the DAV and the VFW.
Frank Wallace was a man who not only read his Bible, he truly lived the words written there. He was an honest, generous man, a devoted family man. Frank brought a warmth and goodness to the lives of all those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
Frank is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillian; sons, Ronald and Marlan; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean.
He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
