Frances Mae Wilt

Frances Mae Wilt

Our loving Mother, Frances Mae Wilt, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, December 24, 2010. All of her family was by her side when she went peacefully. Mom was born to Lonnie and Maggie (Hibbs) Reeder, on July 10, 1925, in Moran, Kans. During the Depression, the family moved to Watsonville, Calif., where she and her brothers attended Watsonville High School.

In 1942, she met the love of her life, Robert Joseph Wilt, Sr. They got married in Reno, Nev., on July 19, 1942, and had four children. In 1980, Dad and Mom moved to Medford, Ore., to be closer to their daughter, Jean, and her family. By the end of 2004, all their children had moved here. Mom was devoted to her family, always helping them with anything they needed.

Dad and Mom joined the Rogue River Good Sam Club, and went on every outing with the group. They loved to fish, and she would almost always out fish the others. Mom enjoyed going to Lake of the Woods camping. Her daughter, Barbara, and family, would take her fishing on the lake, and she loved the beautiful country.

After her husband passed away in 2004, Mom sold their home, and moved to Miller Estates. She loved the old and new friends that lived there. Mom moved to Fountain Plaza with her little dog Mitzie, who was a big part of her life, in June this year. Mother was such a sweet loving person, and everyone loved her and Mitzie. She loved being with the family and was looking forward to spending time with us for the holidays. Her granddaughter, Kelly, had a baby boy

prematurely in November, and she was looking forward to the time he would come home, so she could see him.

Mom loved roses and always had a rose garden. She was a wonderful seamstress and loved to bake for her friends.

In addition to her husband, she had three brothers who

preceded her in death. She leaves four children, Jean (Dan) Pini, of Central Point, Ore.,Robert (Denise) Wilt, Jr., of

Central Point, Ore., William (Debby) Wilt, of Medford, Ore., and Barbara (George) Gregory, of Lake of the Woods, Ore; eight grandchildren, Rick Pini, Diane Pini, Sheri (Ty) Sonnen, Stephen (Danette) Wilt, Laurie (Chad) Alexander, Erik (Linsey) Wilt, Stacey Wilt, Kelly (Shawn) Ward, and Kierstin Gregory; step-grandchildren, Alex Sommerauer, Justin (Allison) Burr, Aaron Burr; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Mom will be truly missed by everyone. A viewing will be held from 3:00 until 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Her service will be held at Memory Gardens, at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 30, 2010. In lieu of flowers,

donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's

Association, at 1311 NW 21 St., Portland. OR 97209, or The Humane Society of Southern Oregon, 2910 Table Rock Rd., Medford, OR 97501.
