Dr. Anthony Edward Bock

Anthony Edward Bock, 94, of Medford, Ore. passed away January 21, 2014. He was born April 1, 1919 in Toledo, Ohio to Antoni and Wladyslawa "Charlotte" Boczkowski. On July 19, 1952 he married Mintie J. Bock. They were married 51 years.

Anthony was 1st Lieutenant of the U.S. Army WWII, (Co. K, 415th Infantry) receiving the medals of Bronze Star for heroism, American Service, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, and WWII Victory medal.

After his service, Anthony attended and graduated with honors at the University of Toledo Ohio. He then went on to Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine and was in practice for 40 years.

He was past President of the Oregon Osteopathic Asso-ciation, served as Chief of Staff at Crater Osteopathic Hospital, he was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, past member of Lions and Kiwanis Clubs, and past board member of St. Joseph's Historical Catholic Church. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

Anthony is survived by three sons, Charles, Richard, and Thomas; two daughters, Juliette and Patricia (Bock) Keck; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mintie J. Bock.

A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial, Medford. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Medford, OR; A.T. Still University of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, MO.
