Donna Merilyn Phipps-Price, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, surrounded by her family.

Donna was born on July 9, 1931, in Riverside, Calif. to Ernest William and Myna Henrietta Cushman. On March 8, 1947, she married Oscar Clarence Phipps, Jr., in Roseburg, Ore. During their marriage they had 6 daughters. Oscar died on December 24, 1987. On September 2, 1990, she married Robert Kenneth Price, in Reno, Nev.

Donna was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was known for her generosity and love of family and friends. She was kind and compassionate and was always looking for an opportunity to help someone in need. She loved to cook for her family and was well known as an excellent chef. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, and gardening. She looked at garage sales as a challenge as she was always on a search for the 25 cent bargain. She collected many things and had an impressive M & M collection. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her husband, Robert Kenneth Price, of Central Point, and daughters, Linda Roland, of Medford, Loree Stratton, of Brookings, Andrea Gregg, of Madras, Toni Schultz, of Salem, and Wendy Sander, of Central Point; stepdaughters, Dianna Gipner, of Central Point, and Donna Earnest, of Rogue River; stepson, Preban Price, of Medford; 26 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by four sisters, Phyllis Hall, of Stockton, Calif., Teen Birman, of Portland, Ore., Lynne Campbell, of Junction City, Ore., Claudia Goode, of Tigard, Ore.; and two brothers, Ron Cushman, of Clearlake, Calif., and Bill Garrison, of Winston, Ore. Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Phipps, Jr.; their daughter, Mary Anne Phipps, two sisters, Gloria Fischer, and Charlotte Nuzum; one grandson; and one granddaughter.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the family home. Please call 826-5496 if any questions or need directions.
