Donald “Don” M. Cain, 92, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his Central Point home. He was born July 19, 1925 to Henry and Ida (Schwinderman) Cain in Brainerd, Minnesota.
He served with the United States Marine Corps in Okinawa during WWII. Don was a Lieutenant in the Oregon State Police and after retirement worked as their polygraph examiner. His hobbies included gardening and golfing.
Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, Darlene; son, David; daughters, Theresa and Kimberly; sisters, Mardel and Lois; four granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by nine siblings, Ivy, Evelyn, Dorris, Ethel, Myron, Loyd, Darrel, Lyle, and Leslie.
Don's funeral service will be Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Point Seventh-day Adventist Church and a committal service with full military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
