Denise E. Snyder


Denise E. Snyder was born in Richardton, N.D. on November 15, 1946. She graduated from high school there and went to college for two years.

She married Duke Snyder in Fairbanks, Alaska on June 5th, 1966. They have two children, Troy and Dana Snyder. They traveled for a while, then lived in Hawaii where they had a motorcycle rental business. When their son Troy was old enough to start school, they moved to the Medford area in 1971.

Denise started working for Famillan N.W., known as Ferguson Enterprises in 1984 when the company first came to the valley.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose (32 years) and a member of the Jackson County Horsemen's Association.

She loved her family and friends, and she also loved her horses. Her hobbies were riding her horses, camping and working in her garden. She loved flowers. Her husband and son were at her side when she passed on.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Joseph and Valerie Schmidt; one brother, Bob Schmidt. Denise has three sisters still living: Arlene Hondl, Renee Veitch, Debbie Hauck and one brother, Don Schmidt all in North Dakota.

A viewing will be held from 3-6 P.M. Tuesday, July — at Conger Morris, 800 South Front St., Central Point. A service will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point at — p.m. A reception will follow at the Moose Family Center in Gold Hill at 9713 Old Stage Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mooseheart/ Moosehaven. See your local Moose Lodge or the Jackson County Horsemen's Association.
