Constance "Connie" J. Francis

Connie Francis passed away peacefully July 27th, 2007 after a lengthy illness with Parkinson's Disease.

She was born July 31, 1931 in Mountain Home, Idaho to Alma and Harold Bartlett. She was active in all manner of sports and outdoor activities that her beloved Idaho had to offer. She attended Brigham Young University and later became a stewardess for United Airlines, working out of Chicago. While there, she met and married William A. Francis. They lived in Chicago for 22 years and reared four daughters. In 1976, the family moved to Medford, Ore. Connie was actively involved in church activities, including teaching, coaching girls basketball and many charitable activities. She was regularly in service to those who needed help. Her compassion, kindness and sweet smile were a comfort and inspiration to many. Connie was a vivacious woman who loved life. Her passions included dancing, writing poetry, gardening, hiking, fishing, camping in "the hills" and family activities.

She is survived by four daughters, Susan Felt of Roseville, Calif., Linda Whitaker, Wendy Francis-Irwin, Sally Montgomery of Medford, Ore.; a brother, Lee Bartlett of Provo, Utah; a sister, Catherine Rice of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren, Emily, Laura, Christopher, Mark, Holly; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Connie was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August — at 10:00 a.m. at Perl/Siskiyou Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain Home, Idaho.

The family gives heartfelt thanks to the many caregivers and nurses who lovingly cared for Mom over the last four years. We greatly appreciate you. Special thanks to Vickie Roundy RN, CHPN, Susan P. and other staff members of Asante Hospice who tenderly cared for Mom and our family through this journey. Our "angel" Mother is now at rest.
