Blossom Marie (Durkee) Ritter went to live with the Lord on July 15, 2008, at the age of 90. She was living in Klamath Falls, as she had moved over to be near her daughter in May of 2006.
Blossom was born to Jesse and Lillie Durkee on Sept. 6, 1917, on Sardine Creek in Gold Hill, Ore. She married Ivan Governor on March 6, 1936, and divorced in 1981. She married Charlie Ritter in 1983.
She lived most of her life in Gold Hill, and then moved to Medford for about 20 years, and the last two years in Klamath Falls. She was a homemaker most of her life, and it was what she enjoyed! She liked sewing, crocheting and crafts. She was well known for her "good" home-cooked meals, and she loved giving gifts that she made to people for their enjoyment.
She was loved by many, and will be missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Iva Wilson of Idaho, and Cheryl Hall of Klamath Falls; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents; her brother, Edward Durkee; her daughter, Dollie Wilson; and her husband.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life service to be held at Butte Creek Baptist Church in Eagle Point on Aug. 2 at 11 a.m.
