Barbara Ann Barry

Barbara Ann Barry, 65, passed away Friday evening, Sept. 17, 2010 at her home in Central Point, Ore. Her loving husband, five children, youngest sister and brother surrounded her. Her passing was two hours and 15 minutes before her 66th birthday. She was lovingly cared for by her family in her last days. Her husband of 46 years, Richard J. Barry, was consistently by her side.

Barbara was born in Great Falls, Mont., to June and Lloyd Weigel on Sept. 18, 1944. She was the oldest of four children including two sisters, Susan Nichelson, of Great Falls, Mont., and Linda Busta, of Bozeman, Mont., and her brother, Rick Weigel, of Salt Lake City, Utah.

She married husband, Richard April of 1964, and went on to have five children. After Richard's retirement and the birth of their first grandchild, they decided to move to Central Point in order to be close to their kids and grandkids. She enjoyed watching her son's and daughter's with children of their own.

After visiting several churches in the area they became fond of and began attending The Hope Christian Church in Central Point. She began working at the church's pre-school, Noah's Ark and retired in Jan. 2010.

Barbara had a great love for God, her family, gardening and sewing. She made many beautiful cross stitch pictures and each family member received their own handmade cross stitch Christmas stocking with their name on it.
