Anton Hanson Brudevold Jr.

"Tony" Anton Hanson Brudevold Jr. was born to Anton and Madeline Brudevold, June 19, 1935, in Hoquiam, Wash. His family then moved to Raymond, Wash., where they had a dairy farm. Tony graduated from Raymond High School in 1954. He worked for Weyerhaeuser and then joined the U.S. Marine Corp in 1957.

Tony married Marlene Hageman in 1961. They had three children, Brion (Eilene), of South Carolina, Rodney (Debbie), of Eagle Point, Ore., and Bradley (Andrea), of Caldwell, Idaho. The family moved to Medford, Ore., in 1972, where Tony pursued a career in farming and ranching. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, and camping. He died at his home in Eagle Point July 27, 2012.

Tony is survived by seven grandchildren, KateLynn White (Anthony), Ally Brudevold, and Kayla Brandel, all of Eagle Point, Ore.; Victoria Brudevold, Hanson Brudevold, and Sarah Brudevold, all of Caldwell, Idaho; Vanessa Brown, of South Carolina; and one great-grandson, AJ White, of Eagle Point, Ore. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Anton; mother, Madeline; and sister, Andrea.

A funeral service with military honors will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at the Eagle Point Church of the Nazarene. A reception will follow immediately at Arthur's Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either the Eagle Point Church of the Nazarene or Southern Oregon Cattlemen's Association.
