ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum is expanding its hours of operation and plans to make them standard year round.
Starting May 1, the science and discovery center will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, according to a news release. The museum will book field trips on Mondays, and it will be open on Mondays during holidays.
In the past, the museum has had summer hours and winter hours. The change will result in the museum being open about 16 extra days a year.
“Our new, year-round schedule will make it easier for our visitors to remember and plan,” said ScienceWorks Marketing Manager Erin Scott.
The museum’s new exhibit, “Pterosaurs: Ancient Rulers of the Sky,” opens Saturday, April 28. It is scheduled to run the rest of the year.
