Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church
Services at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, at Oakdale and Fifth streets, Medford, begin at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, July 22. Due to remodeling, access to the church is via a temporary ramp. The food pantry will be open from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday next door to the church at Hafer House. Book study is held every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. A new book will be started next week. A single service will be held Sunday, July 28, with no 8 a.m. service that day.

First Presbyterian Church
Pastor Murray Richmond will start a new sermon series with “Follow the Yellow Brick Road,” at both the 8:30 a.m. informal service and the 10:30 a.m. traditional service at First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford. The informal service features more contemporary music led by the Son Shine Singers in a casual atmosphere in the Fellowship Hall. The traditional service is in a formal sanctuary with arching stained-glass windows and a huge pipe organ. The church will feature special music throughout the summer, this week supplied by the Pick Up Choir made up of members of the congregation, some of whom are in the Chancel Choir and some who just like to sing.
