Medford’s Pet Country store is ending its low-cost pet vaccination clinic, which has been held there on the first Saturday of each month for many years.
In response, Jackson County Animal Services will offer a shot clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway, Phoenix. Vaccinations, provided by a veterinarian, cost $10 each, cash only.
Vaccinations available for dogs are rabies and distemper/parvo booster. Dogs are required by law to be vaccinated for rabies and licensed.
Vaccinations available for cats are rabies and distemper/rhino/calici booster.
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old. Pets that are ill, on antibiotics, in heat or on cortisone products cannot be vaccinated.
Pet licenses can be purchased by cash, credit card or check, with rabies certification. Call the shelter at 541-774-6654 for additional information.
