The driver who died after her car plunged into the Rogue River’s Hellgate Canyon on Saturday has been identified as Hailee Fox, 21, of Grants Pass.
Oregon State Police troopers responded to a 911 call on Galice Road at 12:54 a.m. Saturday. A female from Grants Pass had called the emergency line and reported that a male had been assaulted and that he was in need of medical attention. She stayed on the phone with 911 and began driving to the hospital. Fox was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, Rodrigo Herrara, 24, of Grants Pass was transported to a hospital for his injuries.
