Local libraries host Pop-Up Quidditch and 'Where's Dobby' hunt

Jackson County Library Services will host a virtual Pop-Up Quidditch tournament in preparation for the fourth annual Medford Comic Con.

The golden snitch will travel to participating libraries through Sunday, April 29. The Medford Comic Con Facebook and Instagram pages will announce its location, and seekers who find the snitch will win a chocolate frog or a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean, 150 points for their house, and a new game will commence.

Library branches in Applegate, Eagle Point, Gold Hill, Medford, Phoenix, Rogue River, Ruch, Shady Cove, Talent and White City will participate in the Pop-Up Quidditch Tournament. Follow @MedfordComicCon on Facebook and Instagram for clues about the location of the golden snitch. Participants can also score points for their teams by entering a monthly raffle at the libraries.

In addition, Jackson County Library Services will host a "Where’s Dobby?" Scavenger Hunt. A Harry Potter Dobby figurine will travel to participating libraries now through Sunday, April 29. Participants are encouraged to find Dobby, take a selfie with him, and post it on Instagram with #MCC2018 and #Where’sDobby? hashtags. Those with the most outstanding photos will be announced on the @MedfordComicCon Instagram account, displayed during Medford Comic Con at the Harry Potter World, and receive a prize. Branches participating in the scavenger hunt are Applegate, Ashland, Central Point, Eagle Point, Gold Hill, Medford, Phoenix, Prospect, Rogue River, Ruch, Shady Cove, Talent and White City.
