Local chapter begins of Bernie Sanders' Our Revolution

Our Revolution Southern Oregon, an affiliate of the national Our Revolution non-profit, non-partisan organization, will hold a planning and advisory meeting with an orientation presentation and music from local activists from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave.

Our Revolution is a Bernie Sanders legacy organization established by members of the Sanders campaign (https://ourrevolution.com/)

Our Revolution, Southern Oregon is dedicated to economic justice for everyone regardless of race, gender, class, social or cultural origin, religion, disability, lifestyle or circumstances, according to a press release.

The group aims to find, recommend and assist qualified candidates who seek economic justice for working families and who promote the stances on issues stated in the Our Revolution platform. These issues include wealth inequality, a living wage, Medicare for all, immigration policy, racial justice, college tuition, and big money in politics, to name a few.

The group needs volunteer help in communications, messaging and outreach, events, candidate recruitment and legislative advocacy. For more information, visit www.ourrevolutionsouthernoregon.org.
