No life-threatening injuries are reported in a three-vehicle crash that closed Table Rock Road early Friday afternoon.

Crash sends three to hospital

At least three people have injuries described as “not life-threatening” and one car was totaled Friday following a rear-end crash on Table Rock Road that turned into a head-on collision.

At about 12:15 p.m., a commercial utility pickup truck headed north rear-ended a Honda Civic coupe near the Morningside Street intersection, sending the two-door Honda into the path of a Subaru Outback, according to Medford police Sgt. Don Lane.

Two passengers in the Honda and one in the Subaru were transported to area hospitals via Mercy Flights, according to Lane.

Lane couldn’t describe the extent of the injuries but said they didn’t seem life-threatening.

“They didn’t appear to be life-threatening, but there’s a lot of stuff that could be there that I’m not aware of,” Lane said.

The late-2000s model Honda suffered significant damage to its front, rear, passenger side and axles. Front, side and side-curtain airbags deployed on the Honda, and a driver-side airbag deployed on the early-2000s-model Subaru. The commercial truck landed in a ditch.

The crash closed Table Rock Road between the intersections of Morningside and Midway Road.
