LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — The Lake Tahoe Icemen scored three goals in the third period to overtake the Southern Oregon Spartans in the Western States Hockey League Saturday.
The Spartans fell to 11-30-1, while Lake Tahoe improved to 22-9-3.
Thomas Wangler gave Southern Oregon a 1-0 lead when he scored in the first period off an assist by Axel Low.
The Spartans went up 2-0 in the second when Kamil Rypar passed to Mason Cooper, who scored.
Lake Tahoe’s final two goals came only 11 seconds apart with about five minutes to play. They were scored by Danylo Moroz and Easton Easterson, respectively.
