‘Cabaret’: Look for the flamboyant master of ceremonies and wickedly funny Sally Bowles as they take refuge in the tawdry confines of the Kit Kat Klub in 1931 Berlin, along with some of the most famous songs in theater history, in Roundabout Theatre Company’s Tony Award-winning production of the classic Broadway musical. Science Lecture: Brian Stonelake, Southern Oregon University Senior Instructor of Mathematics, will present “Hyperoperation Absurdity,” from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 13, in Room 151 in the Science Building on the SOU campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. In this talk, Stonelake will discuss hyperoperations, which is a sequence of operations for compounding numbers that increase in growth iteratively without assuming any material prerequisite math knowledge. SOPEX Stamp Show: The Southern Oregon Philatelic Society’s annual free stamp show, SOPEX, will be held from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at the Jackson County Expo’s Padgham Pavilion, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. The show will feature over 600 exhibit pages, a bourse of 12 selling stamps, covers, postcards and collecting supplies. The stamp club will offer door prizes and free stamps for children. Souvenir show envelopes and special Pear Blossom cancellation will be available for purchase.
