Felony arrests

Coercion — Shawn Kahea Craven, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Craven Thursday on a felony charge of coercion, and on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday on $25,000 bail.

Theft — Ricardo Angel Palomares, 23, of the 200 block of Ross Lane North, Medford. Medford police arrested Palomares Friday on a felony charge of first-degree theft, misdemeanor counts of third-degree escape, possessing heroin and interfering with police, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of first-degree burglary, first- and second-degree theft and unlawfully entering a motor vehicle. He was lodged in jail Friday on $45,000 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 500 block of North Front Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen tools at 7:12 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a Wacker plate compactor, Stihl cutoff saw and Partner cutoffsaw. The loss was valued at $5,500.

Theft — 2700 block of Brae Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:20 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included eight DeWalt FlexVolt batteries, a cordless table saw, worm drive circular saw, impact drill and an oscillating multitool. The loss was valued at $2,892.

Burglary — 1600 block of Stratford Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 12:24 p.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included two weed eaters and other tools in boxes and bags. The loss was valued at $1,000.
