Updated election results: Jackson County May 2018 primary

The Jackson County Clerk's Office has released its first batch of vote counts in the May 2018 primary election. Here are the highlights from contested races and a Medford school bond measure:

  • Medford School District CTE bond measure: 47.9 percent "yes" (9,253 votes); 52.1 percent "no" (10,069 votes)
  • State Senate District 3: Democrats — Jeff Golden (51.2 percent with 8,318 votes); Athena Goldberg (36.3 percent with 5,904 votes); Julian Bell (6.4 percent with 1,036 votes) ; Kevin Stine (5.6 percent with 908 votes) Republicans — Jessica Gomez (52.2 percent with 5,592 votes); Curt Ankerberg (47.4 percent with 5,084 votes)
  • Jackson County Circuit Court judge (top two advance to general election): David Orr (40.7 percent with 16,018 votes); Joe Davis (29.3 percent with 11,524 votes); Nick Geil (23.3 percent with 9,177 votes); Lawrence W. Parker (6.4 percent with 2,508 votes)
  • Second Congressional District (Jackson County only): Democrats —Jamie McLeod-Skinner 50.9 percent with 10,003 votes); Jennifer (Jenni) Neahring (21.2 percent with 4,163 votes); James (Jim) Crary (10.4 percent with 2,052 votes); Tim S. White ( (5.2 percent with 1,027 votes); Eric Burnette (4.5 percent with 887 votes) Raz Mason (4.4 percent with 871 votes); Michael Byrne (2.2 percent with 426 votes) Republicans — Greg Walden (76.1 percent with 16,011 votes); Paul J. Romero, Jr. (18.1 percent with 3,799 votes); Randy Pollock (5.5 percent with 1,165 votes)
