SOU closes in on provost candidate

ASHLAND — As the search for a new provost and vice president for student affairs continues at Southern Oregon University, a search committee has narrowed the choices to four candidates.

They will present speeches on the SOU campus along with interviews and discussion with students, faculty and community members. The four candidates are: Jonathan Glenn, Gary Kiger, Kent Neely and Ann Leffler.

Glenn, associate provost at the University of Central Arkansas, will present on Tuesday.

Kiger, dean of the College of Humanities at Utah State University and a sociology researcher, will present on Thursday.

Neely, dean of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville College of Arts and Sciences, will present on Feb. 4.

These three presentations will be held in the Rogue River Room of the Stevenson Union at 3 p.m. on the respective dates.

Leffler, senior consultant to the provost and presidential professor of sociology at the University of Maine, is presenting her speech on Feb. 13 in the Meese Room of the Hannon Library.
